EMS Follow Up

The EMS Follow Up Panel provides a filtered view of patients who require follow up procedures as recorded in EMS over a selected date range. 

Users can select the choice of sites and date range that can be used to present patients that require follow up. This is initially set as the user's current default site and the current date and three months hence. Users can select site options and a custom date range by clicking on the calendar picker and selecting the required dates.

 

Click on the Refresh button to ensure that the latest data is available. Observe the text next to the refresh button, if shown advising when the panel was last updated. 

When a report is written, if the endoscopist completes the "Follow Up" options this will trigger the details to be shown in this panel as a reminder that Follow up needs to be arranged. The Due Date represents the final extent of the follow up activity. Therefore if the consultant suggests that the patient needs to be seen within two weeks, the "Due Date" will be a fortnight from the date of the procedure. This suggests that the follow up needs to be organised before that date.

 

Users then have two options:

VIEW EPISODE: This option will open the report at the final screen showing the Diagnosis and report comments.
Click HOME button to return to the main panel.


CREATE REFERRAL: This option will open the new referral screen for the patient. The user can then enter the details for                                                           the new procedure being booked.


The user can then proceed with the booking of the follow up as normal.
