The Patient Context menu becomes active when you have selected a patients record (you have searched for a patient and selected them, or you have clicked on a patient in one of the panels). The items in the patient menu perform actions against the currently active patient.



New Referral for this Patient

Allows you to create a new referral for the selected patient (first step in the pathway)

New Unscheduled Episode for this patient

Allows you to create a new unscheduled episode for this patient. 

New Emergency Referral for selected patient

Allows you to create a new Emergency Referral for a patient. 

Patients Previous History

This will show you a list of all the previous episodes for this patient that have been recorded on EMS. 

Current Episode

Shows you the patients current episode. 

Edit Patient

Ideally you will always be able to update the patient demographic data from your PAS, but if for some reason your PAS is not available you can edit the copy of the patient record held in EMS (Edit a Patient Record ).

Merge into Another Patient

Under some circumstances you may want to move a patients procedures from one patient to another (Merge Patient Records )
