Find a Patient

To locate a patient either enter their National Identifier, Local Identifier or surname in the search box and click the search button.

If you enter their National Identifier or Local Hospital Identifier then EMS will automatically (where available) update the patients demographic data from your PAS system.

If you enter their family name EMS will search its local database of patients (patients that have already been entered on to EMS). The matches will be displayed as shown below.

EMS shows for each match the last time that data was updated from your PAS. If you want to update their demographic data simply click the Update from PAS button. If for some reason your PAS is not available you can edit the EMS copy of the patient record manually by clicking the Edit Local Patient Record button.

To select a patient simply click on the patient.
