Overbook - ems

In some circumstances the booking clerk may know that a procedure could be performed within the session even if all the slots are already booked. In EMS this is referred to as Over Booking, see example below.

In this example the procedure is a Stent Replacement and requires 3 points. By adjusting the search criteria to show all sessions the Booking Clerk can now select a session that does not match the criteria and does not have sufficient time for the procedure.

In this instance the Booking Clerk knows that although the session is not configured for therapeutic procedures Mr Breckenridge is able to perform the stent replacement.

Clicking the top overbook button will schedule the procedure at the start of the session, clicking it at the bottom will schedule it at the end of the session.

Because the selected session does not match the criteria for the current episode, EMS will display a warning as below, that you are aware this session does not match the episode.

To accept the warning and continue with the booking click Yes. The screen will refresh and show the overbooked session as below.
