Summary

The Summary step enables the user to record the audit data relating to the procedure.

The example below identifies the requirements for a colonoscopy report as an example.  
 

       
  1. Finish time of the procedure
  2. Intended and actual extent of the procedure
    • The finding sites are used to pre-set the actual extent for each endoscopist involved in the procedure
    • Where the actual extent does not meet the intended extent you must provide the reason for the limitation
  3. Completion Confirmed By
  4. Any intra procedure complications
  5. If a PR Exam was performed
  6. If a J Manoeuvre was Performed (and if it was by whom)    
  7. Endoscopist's Patient Comfort score   
  8. Patient Sedation score   
  9. Scope Withdrawal Time - populated if functionality used on In Room step       
  10. Bowel prep used (this will be pre-populated if scheduled referral)
  11. Quality of Bowel Preparation, this will vary depending on your EMS Implementation there are two Bowel Prep scores, if Aronchick is available, select from the list. Alternatively if you have the Harefield scale enabled on your site then simply click the calculate button and then select as appropriate and the score will be calculated for you as shown below:

NOTE: The Harefield Score table will only show users the areas reached during the procedure based on the "Actual Extent" of the examination. If the investigation only managed to reach to the Descending Colon then the further entries in the table above would not be shown.
