Findings

This step enables the assigning of images and the recording of abnormalities and procedures performed during the procedure.

Note: The anatomical diagram, associated abnormalities and procedures will reflect the procedure being performed.

Recording Abnormalities /Procedures

In order to record abnormalities or procedures, mark the anatomical diagram by moving the mouse pointer over the required section and clicking the left mouse button to mark the correct point.

As you can see this will place a marker on the diagram, each marker is given a unique number, you can place as many markers on the diagram as required.

If you click and drag the marker you can move it around the diagram to the correct site within the organ. The markers and diagram will be printed on the final report and the marker numbers will be used to reference the abnormalities /procedures performed at that site.

To remove a marker (and ALL the associated data recorded against it) click the  next to the marker in the list at the bottom of the diagram.

The current site you are working on is shown as red, to change to a different site simply click on the relevant marker.

Once a marker has been added, abnormalities and procedures can be recorded against it in the section to the right of the diagram.

The drop down list at the top confirms the currently selected marker. You can also use this to change the active marker.

By default the view shows the abnormality categories, the Switch to Procedures button will show the Procedure Categories.

For each site marked on the diagram, this will be attributed to the current Endoscopist unless an additional Endoscopist has been recorded in the In Room step, for example, for a training procedure.

In this case, select the Endoscopist who performed the procedure and their associated role in the procedure.

For each site that you mark on the diagram you must select the endoscopist who performed the procedure and their role in the procedure.

This will be used by EMS to upload data to the NED/JETS e-Portfolio when the service goes live (for further information see
 In Room)

The abnormalities are divided into categories, these are shown as buttons under the Sites tab on the findings screen:
