OVERVIEW
This section describes how to record Polyps and the subsequent polypectomy correctly for audit purposes. 

RECORDING POLYPS
With the appropriate site active (the number is red), on the Sites tab, select the Lesions button, select Polyp from the list presented. Record the mandatory attributes, which are shown in red. 

 

POLYPECTOMY

Having recorded the Polyp, it is likely that the Endoscopist will perform a polypectomy.  
Click the [Switch to Procedures] button: 



Select polypectomy from the list of procedures presented in alphabetical order. Record the mandatory attributes, which are shown in red. Other non-mandatory options can be completed to provide further information relating to the procedure. 

 


Once all of the details have been recorded they will automatically be saved as you move on to the next step.
